Born and raised in North London, Jasmine Oakley uses her raw and honest lyric writing, combined with spectacular vocal ability to portray the inner workings of her mind, and connect to her audience. The influences of leading female artists such as Jazmine Sullivan, Jojo and Noname can be heard in Jasmine’s style and tone. Her debut single ‘Gone’ has gained a lot of attention since its release, getting featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Future Soul, BBC introducing and multiple Spotify editorial playlists. Gone was debuted live at Jasmine’s first sold out headline show this year, in the prestigious venue of ‘The Wardrobe’. The traction to this young artist from anyone after they hear her music is undeniable. With much more in the pipeline of releases for this year, Jasmine is just at the beginning of an incredible journey.
