Jacob Drescher is an Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter from the Netherlands, whose music blends elements of alt-indie-pop, love ballads, hip-hop, trap, soulful R&B, indie folk, and late-night soul, often self-described as "what rustigere alternative bedroom indie-pop, met een laid-back vibe" (somewhat calmer alternative bedroom indie-pop, with a laid-back vibe). He crafts his songs, often in his caravan studio, to tell stories that balance intimacy with raw energy, embracing various musical styles. His work is characterized by resonant guitar clouds, soft vocal harmonies, and jazz-inspired drum grooves, creating a sound that evokes emotions of growing up, falling in love, and navigating friendships. In terms of recent endeavors, Jacob Drescher has several upcoming performances scheduled for late 2024 and 2025, including appearances at Popronde festivals in various Dutch cities like Enschede, Rotterdam, and Utrecht in 2024. He is also slated to perform in Amsterdam at Paradiso in September 2025 and Cinetol in June 2025.
