Ismael Serrano is a Spanish singer-songwriter and guitarist, born on March 9, 1974, known for his political lyrics and eclectic musical influences. Heavily influenced by the nueva trova style, he began composing as a teenager and performing in Madrid in the early 1990s. His music is also influenced by singer-songwriters like Joaquín Sabina, Joan Manuel Serrat, and Silvio Rodríguez, as well as poets like Luis García Montero and Mario Benedetti. Serrano's latest endeavors include the release of his new album "La canción de nuestra vida" and a new music video "Estaré ahí". In September 2025, he performed in Costa Rica and was also involved in a controversy regarding a tweet about immigrants.
