Indy Newland is a hip-hop and jazz-influenced singer and rapper based in Brixton. Hailing from Welwyn, Indy has been performing and writing music from a young age but recently found his sound in a mixture of Hip-hop, Soul and R&B. Citing influences from Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Erykah Badu and A Tribe Called Quest, Indy uses his songs to detail his experiences growing up as a trans man in the UK.
