Ibrahim Maalouf, born in Beirut in 1980, is a French-Lebanese trumpeter, producer, arranger, and composer. He's celebrated for blending genres and has gained international recognition for his unique style, which infuses Arabic elements into jazz, rock, electronic, and funk music. He is the most popular instrumentalist in the French music scene. Maalouf has won international competitions and collaborated with artists like Sting and Angelique Kidjo. In recent news, Maalouf was initially named part of the jury for the 50th Annual Deauville American Film Festival but was later ousted. He also released a new album called "Trumpets of Michel-Ange" in September 2024 and performed at Mumbai's Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in November 2024.
