Buy tickets for Hot 8 Brass Band concerts: brass band
Hot 8 Brass Band is a Grammy-winning New Orleans brass band renowned for their dynamic sound, which seamlessly blends traditional jazz with funk, hip-hop, and bounce styles. Formed in 1995, the group gained significant prominence after being featured in Spike Lee's 2006 documentary "When The Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts." In their latest endeavors, the band is set to release a new album titled "BIG TUBA" on February 28, 2025. This album serves as a heartfelt tribute to their late co-founder and sousaphone player, Bennie Pete. "BIG TUBA" will feature nine tracks, including their interpretations of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Fight Song." They have also announced a "BIG TUBA" world tour for 2026, with planned dates across the USA, Ireland, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, Poland, and Denmark. The Hot 8 Brass Band also has numerous upcoming concerts in March, April, and May 2026, including regular appearances at The Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans. The band's continued presence on the festival circuit is also noted, with mentions of "Live at the 2024 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival" and "Live At The 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage" recordings. In 2022, they contributed to Jon Batiste's Grammy-winning Album of the Year.
