Hoax, the alias of Bristol-based producer and DJ Harry Tremlett, has rapidly emerged as a formidable force in the drum and bass scene, known for his signature style of rumbling basslines and crisp production. Having been raised in a musically rich environment and possessing a background in piano and music theory, he developed a deep passion for bass-heavy genres, leading him to craft his own tracks and refine his DJing skills. His breakthrough came with the release of "Crowd Control," which resonated throughout the drum and bass community. This success paved the way for his signing with Hospital Records, where he has delivered notable releases such as "Sekkle" and "Spark It," both featuring Purple Velvet Curtains (PVC). These tracks have garnered support from industry heavyweights including Rudimental, DJ Marky, and London Elektricity, and have received airplay on major platforms like BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM. Beyond his studio achievements, Hoax is renowned for his energetic DJ sets. In recent endeavors, Hoax released his 'Sick Notes' EP on Hospital Records, which dropped a week before October 2, 2025. He also held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit around the same time. His collaborations with PVC continue, with multiple projects in the pipeline and live performances at festivals across the UK and beyond, as highlighted in an interview from August 2024. Other recent releases include "Your Eyes," and "The Samurai," both from September 2025 and August 2025 respectively.
