Gracing major stages in the UK and Europe, British Funky-Soulstress, Helena May captivates audiences with her high-powered vocals, grooving bass-lines and whipping brass section. May’s music-odyssey commenced in the early 2000s, nurturing her love of The Brand New Heavies and Joss Stone. At the age of twelve, May encountered Jamiroquai's ‘A Funk Odyssey’ and Incognito’s ‘100° and Rising’, igniting her passion of Brit-Funk and Acid-Jazz. With one foot in London and the other in Vienna - May unveiled her debut album, ‘Funkalicious’ in 2021 - a collaborative effort with nineteen Austrian and British music-makers. Embracing a continued, collaborative approach with her upcoming second album 'Puzzle Pieces’, sees May gaining rave reviews internationally, securing multiple ’Track of the Week' listings with Jazz FM (UK), ‘A List’ rotation with Superfly Radio (AT), plus live performances and interviews on BBC Radio London.
