Harvey Whyte is a Hackney-born rapper, self-taught pianist, and producer known for his unique "piano rap" style, which fuses jazz with hip hop, trap, neo-soul, alternative R&B, and electronic elements. He is recognized for his clever wordplay, vivid storytelling, and introspective lyrics that often explore themes of identity, mental health, and personal development. His debut album, 'Piano Rap', was released in September 2023, followed by his sophomore album, 'Fatalism', in October 2024. Whyte has collaborated with artists such as Sigma, Footsie, Greentea Peng, and KeepVibesNear. He has performed extensively, including headline and support shows across London, Europe, and at SXSW in Austin, USA. A clip of his track "Mocktails and Weed" went viral on Instagram, gaining over 2.5 million views. Looking ahead, Harvey Whyte is set to release new tracks throughout 2025, including singles like "Smoke Before Therapy," "Element 45," "Grrr Bow!", and "Liar Liar," and plans to tour later in the year. He is also exploring new sonic directions, including post-punk music, and intends for a future project, 'Piano Rap 2', to feature an orchestral, classical-jazz vibe.
