About Hangover In Minsk

Black metal

Hangover In Minsk is a female-fronted depressive post-black metal band originating from Poland and Belarus. Their music blends a depressive form of black metal with elements of post-rock, creating a unique and powerful sound. The band's debut album, "Party Is Over," was released on April 16, 2025, via Mork Stork Productions. This album explores themes of grief, sorrow, and the emotional aftermath of drowning feelings in alcohol. "Party Is Over" features guest vocals from Déhá and Kim Carlsson. The band formed somewhat spontaneously during a hungover van ride after the Dark Easter Metal Meeting in 2024, starting as a humorous idea for "depressive beer metal." Since their debut, Hangover In Minsk has released a music video for their opening track "Farewell" from the album, which garnered significant attention. They have also performed live, including at the Dark Easter Metal Meeting and Niech Cisza Milczy open-air festival in 2025. Upcoming endeavors for Hangover In Minsk include performances at Dunkelhate Fest in Graz, Austria, and a show in Nitra, Slovakia, both in late October/early November 2025.
