Hairpin is an eclectic alt-rock band from New York City, comprising Nate Pozin (vocals), Henry Buckingham (guitar), Ryan Couto (bass), and Alex McGourty (guitar/producer). They blend indie rock, indie-punk, post-hardcore, and power pop influences, creating a sound characterized by gritty guitars, driving bass lines, pounding drums, and rhythmic vocal stylings. The band operates with a strong DIY ethos, with McGourty producing their material in his home studio. Hairpin has quickly gained recognition for their sold-out shows in New York City and a rapidly growing fanbase. Their latest endeavors include the release of their debut EP, "Modern Day Living," on April 3, 2025, which features tracks like "Shake It" and "Wiped." They also released the single "Oh Dear" on July 26, 2024, a song about all-consuming love with funky guitar and energetic percussion. Other recent singles include "Curtain Call," which has an official music video released in March 2025, as well as "Self Portrait" and "Okay Thru There" from 2024.
