German hip hop

Gzuz, whose real name is Kristoffer Jonas Klauß, is a prominent German hip hop artist born on June 29, 1988, in Hamburg. Known for his hard street rap style, which often incorporates bass-heavy trap and drill beats, Gzuz is a core member of the influential Hamburg hip-hop collective 187 Strassenbande, which he joined in 2006. His stage name is an acronym for "Ghetto-Zeug unzensiert," reflecting his raw, unapologetic, and unfiltered lyrical approach. Gzuz's music is characterized by a commanding voice and vivid depictions of urban life, exploring themes of hardship, resilience, loyalty, and survival in gritty environments. He has achieved significant chart success with solo albums like "Ebbe & Flut" (2015), "Wolke 7" (2018), and "Feuer" (2020), as well as collaborative projects with Bonez MC such as "High & Hungrig" (2014) and "High & Hungrig 2" (2016). His music videos have also gained international attention. In recent endeavors, Gzuz has been reaching new career heights with a successful tour that sold over 50,000 tickets. He has announced a large-scale European tour for the fall of 2026, including additional concerts across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and France. Upcoming concerts are scheduled throughout 2026, with a performance in Zagreb on October 20, 2026. Recent album releases include "Freitag der 13" in 2024 and "SCHERBENHAUS" in 2025, alongside "High & Hungrig 3" in 2023.
