Glimmer is a New York-based "grungegaze" band, formed in February 2023 by cousins Jeff and Jaye Moore, alongside Johnny Nicholls and Kevin Dobbins. The band masterfully blends shoegaze and dream pop with elements of '90s alternative and grunge, creating a sound characterized by heavy, fuzzed-out guitars, dreamy reverb, and strong melodic hooks. Their sound draws comparisons to iconic bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Ride, and Swervedriver, while also appealing to fans of contemporary acts such as Narrow Head and Nothing. The band's latest major endeavor is the release of their highly anticipated debut LP, "Get Weak," which officially dropped on October 3, 2025, via Abandon Everything Records. This album features singles like "Dissolve," "Sorrow Again," "Slow Saturday," and "Been Down," showcasing their dynamic range from heavy-hitting anthems to ethereal tracks. "Get Weak" was recorded in Brooklyn and mastered by renowned engineer Will Yip. Glimmer has also been actively touring, building a strong live reputation across the NYC area, and performing in both the US and Europe, with a string of US dates planned for Fall 2025.
