G Herbo, born Herbert Randall Wright III on October 8, 1995, is a prominent American rapper hailing from Chicago, Illinois. He is a key figure in the Chicago drill scene, known for his raw lyricism, vivid storytelling, and ability to blend hard-hitting rap verses with melodic hooks. His music often reflects the realities of street life and his upbringing in Chicago's O Block neighborhood. G Herbo began his career at 16, signing with Machine Entertainment Group in 2011. He gained early recognition alongside fellow rapper Lil Bibby with their track "Kill Shit" and earned praise from Drake. His discography includes acclaimed mixtapes like *Welcome to Fazoland* (2014) and studio albums such as *Humble Beast* (2017), *Swervo* (2018), *Still Swervin'* (2019), *PTSD* (2020), *25* (2021), and *Survivor's Remorse* (2022). His albums *PTSD*, *25*, and *Survivor's Remorse* all achieved top-ten positions on the Billboard 200. In terms of recent endeavors, G Herbo released his album *Lil Herb* in November 2025, a 15-track project that revisits his earlier identity while exploring themes of fatherhood, grief, and personal growth, featuring collaborations with artists like Anderson .Paak, Jeremih, and Wyclef Jean. An Extended Version of *Lil Herb* was also released in November 2025, adding three new songs.
