fucales live history: drone metal • norsk rock
Alternative rock soaked in seaweed and trumpet sounds is what makes the energy bomb fucales something novel. The band from the Norwegian west coast has already toured all the Nordic countries, released two critically acclaimed EPs, and composed music for a live screening of the cult classic The Passion of Joan of Arc. Both on stage and in the studio, their unique style never fails to astonish their wide audience base. This has earned them the nicknames “alchemists of noise” and “jokers” from none other than BT, one of Norway's major newspapers. fucales' music embodies 90s dissonant guitars with magnetic melodies from the worlds of jazz and pop, often compared to the likes of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine. The bands debut album «AIRHEAD» was released the 24th of January to striking reviews in Earmilk (UK) and Klassekampen (NO).
