Freya Ridings is an English singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her enthralling pop ballads, blending pop, folk, and soul with emotional storytelling and powerful vocals. She rose to prominence in 2017 with her hit ballad "Lost Without You," and her self-titled debut album earned a BRIT nomination and achieved Gold certification with over a billion streams worldwide. Her second studio album, *Blood Orange*, was released in April 2023. In June 2023, she co-wrote and performed "Rise" for the film *Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken*, and her single "I Can't Hear It Now" was featured in the *Arcane* animated series in November 2024. She also performed at the Glastonbury Extravaganza in August 2025. Ridings is currently set to release her highly anticipated third studio album, *Mother Of Pearl*, on May 29, 2026. This album follows the singles "Wicker Woman," released in October 2025, and "Wild Horse," released earlier in 2026, and is described as a "reclamation" of her narrative, delving into themes of water, grief, ancestry, rebellion, and female rage. Alongside the album announcement, she released the single "I Have Always Loved You" in March 2026.
