François X is a French techno artist renowned for blending high-impact club energy with cinematic textures and the deep physicality of Black American electronic heritage, often incorporating 90s acid sounds and forward-thinking techno. A key figure in modern club culture, he built his reputation through residencies at institutions like Concrete in Paris and as a regular at Berghain. He launched his own label, DEMENT3D, in 2011, and more recently, XX LAB in 2021, a platform for avant-garde electronic music. His latest endeavors include the two-part EP project "The Skin Between Us," released in 2025 on XX LAB, which explores themes of identity and the Black roots of electronic music. He also released the "CEO" EP in June 2023, which featured a blend of techno rhythms with influences from cloud rap and pop music. Additionally, he released the "Straight Edge Society" EP in 2025. He has upcoming performances scheduled for early 2026 across various global cities.
