About the artist

Listening to Francesca Fulmini’s music feels like getting home after a long and rainy day and simultaneously shedding your wet clothes and the day’s worries. Her warm cadence envelops you in a jazz and soul tinged hug and offers a homely retreat from the outside world. She is the sister you need to pick you up and give you a life-affirming reality check when niggles of doubt start to creep in but also the one that firmly understands your heartache. The singer’s unique voice can be credited to her Belgian, Dutch & Italian roots. Folk and Blues, introduced to her by an uncle, serves as the basis for her raw and intimate song-writing. Unconventionally, it was her 50 year old Italian father who first introduced her to R’n’B and the rest was history. Roy Ayers, D'Angelo and Erykah Badu have taught her a deep appreciation for the elements of groove and instrumentation that feature heavily in her music. James Blake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Frank Ocean influence the deep melodies and moody undertones. Her playful onstage emceeing also reminds us that her hip hop influences are not far behind. It is with these forces in mind that Francesca Fulmini coolly presents us with ‘Slow Brew’. This 6- track EP is slow, warm and reflective in all the right ways. This singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist effortlessly proves her worth and is one to certainly not take your eye off. bio by Nakkita de Silva
