About the artist

Frances Mistry is a Brighton-based indie-folk and dream-pop artist known for her delicate yet self-assured sound and deeply personal, autobiographical lyrics. Her music is often described as vulnerable, intimate, and ethereal, with a focus on heartfelt, poetic songwriting. In her latest endeavors, Frances Mistry released her third EP, 'Conversations With Those I Love,' in May 2025. This collection features tracks like "shock to my system," "New Hands To Hold," and "when i look in her eyes," the latter being her first openly queer song exploring themes of queer longing. Prior to the EP, she released singles such as "do i belong here?" in April 2025 and "something has to give" in March 2025, which reflects on political turmoil. Mistry has received praise from BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders, performed at the BBC Introducing stage at The Great Escape festival, and has been featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds of the Month. Her second EP, 'messages,' was released in 2024.
