About Frameworks

Frameworks, the Manchester-based producer Matthew James Brewer, is known for his intricate electronica, instrumental hip-hop, downtempo, and organic house music. His artistry blends rich, warm compositions featuring blossoming strings, pulsing bass, and haunting vocals with lush melodies, organic instrumentation, and deft sampling techniques. He has built an arsenal of deeply personal songs and his sound has evolved to be more dancefloor-oriented in recent years. In terms of his latest endeavors, Frameworks released the single "Petrichor" on January 23, 2025. In 2024, he released the "Silence of Stars" EP, which includes singles like "Heartbreak," "You Got Me," and "Lights Out". He also put out the single "You Are" featuring Richard Walters in 2024. His album "REFLECTIONS" was released in 2023. Frameworks has an extensive touring history, having performed at major North American festivals such as Coachella, Electric Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, Camp Bisco, Global Eclipse Gathering, and Shambhala, and has also toured across Europe. He often performs with a live band that includes a drummer, violinist, guitarist, and bassist.
