About Famy

Famy is a London-based Indie Pop band known for its distinctive blend of mainstream pop and indie music, often incorporating elements of indie rock, folk, and psychedelic pop. Their sound is characterized by lush, pounding rock, ringing guitars, cinematic drums, and the soaring vocals of Bruce Yates, delivering catchy melodies and evocative lyrics that explore themes of longing and melancholy. The band gained recognition with their debut album, "We Fam Econo," released in 2014 through Transgressive Records, which included popular tracks such as "Ava" and "Donkey." Following a period of relative inactivity, Famy marked the 10-year anniversary of their debut album in 2024 by releasing a demo track titled "4-4-1." Recent endeavors also include new versions of their hit song, "Fast Ava" and "Ultra Slow Ava," released in 2024, and a feature on the single "Rerun" in 2025.
