Sounding somewhere between a camp Smiths and LCD Soundsystem , Even Fred’s Happy makes music that gives a voice to the voice in the back of your head that doubts everything you do. Since forming in 2023 the band has established a reputation for chaotic yet charming live performances across London, often the oddballs on bills ranging from post punk nights at The Windmill to pop nights with Laura Mvula, with the occasional house party show thrown in. Combining performance art with punk and pop, it’s as if James Acaster decided to front a camp Yard Act tribute band. But not shit. It should be fun. But it's definitely not normal.
