Electric Cherry Blossom live history
Electric Cherry Blossom is an experimental soft rock band fronted by Zach from St. Louis, Missouri, with an Austrian co-writer and guitarist named Fabian. The band operates with a "revolving doors" approach, featuring around 25 members, embracing chaos and last-minute creative decisions. Their sound draws from influences such as Elliott Smith, Neutral Milk Hotel, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, while also possessing a smacky, off-kilter feel reminiscent of Fat White Family, Cabbage, and Brian Jonestown Massacre. They are known for incorporating non-standard instruments, like a harmonica used as a slide, which adds a unique edge to their music. The band recently performed at The Star in Shoreditch, London, as detailed in a 2025 interview, and has previously toured with The Dandy Warhols and engaged with members of Brian Jonestown Massacre. Their release "Nineteen and Strumming" came out around 2022.
