Effy live history: uk garage • hard house
Effy is a UK-based producer and DJ known for her dynamic and energetic sets, blending driving house, breaks, techno, and acid-driven techno. Hailing from the North West of England and currently residing in London, she has quickly established herself as one of the UK's most exciting electronic artists, drawing influences from the likes of The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, and Pendulum. Effy gained significant recognition for her powerful and warehouse-primed sounds, leading to opening slots for notable artists such as Helena Hauff, Scuba, Honey Dijon, and Peggy Gou. Her early productions include "Fluffy Clouds," "Bodied" (a celebration of female pleasure), and "Raging". In 2021, she was selected as one of Pete Tong's "Future Stars". Her debut EP, 'Not What It Seems,' released in 2022, showcased a refined sound with a preference for grittier club tracks, featuring the acid-driven techno single "Not Yours" and the collaboration "Run It" with Mall Grab. This EP aimed to encapsulate her diverse sonic range, including techno, breakbeat, bass, and melodic elements. Effy has also held a residency at The Warehouse Project and launched "Not Yours," a club night and community initiative dedicated to highlighting female musicians and creating inclusive spaces in dance music. Her upcoming tour dates extend into late 2025, with appearances scheduled across the UK, Europe, and New York City.
