DYGL (pronounced "day-glo") is a four-piece Japanese indie rock band from Tokyo, formed in 2012, known for their energetic blend of indie rock, alternative rock, and punk rock. The band consists of Nobuki Akiyama (vocals & guitar), Kohei Kamoto (drums), Yosuke Shimonaka (guitar), and Yotaro Kachi (bass). They gained international recognition with their 2017 debut album, "Say Goodbye to Memory Den," produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes. In their latest endeavors, DYGL released their fifth album, "Who's in the House?", on August 13, 2025, which was also made available in Australia in January 2026 ahead of their first tour there. They released the single "Just Another Day" on February 12, 2025, from this album, accompanied by a live video. The band also released their first live album, "Live at Shibuya WWWX 2024 1204," on Bandcamp on March 22, 2025, including a live video for the track "Drag." In 2024, they released the EP "Cut the Collar" in October and undertook a nationwide tour in Japan. DYGL embarked on a "DYGL SPRING 2025" headline tour across four Japanese cities in May 2025 and performed as a guest for Fontaines D.C.'s Tokyo show in February 2025. Their busy schedule extends into 2026 with the "Crossing 2026" co-headlining live series across four cities in Japan in April, following an album release, festival appearances, and tours in China and Australia in 2025 and early 2026. They are also slated to perform at SYNCHRONICITY'26.
