Dwson, a two-time award-winning and SAMA-nominated South African producer and DJ, is a prominent figure in the deep house scene, known for his diverse, soulful, and dubbed-out productions that blend deep house, afro tech, 3 step, and afro house. He has released projects on prestigious international labels and is celebrated for breathing new life into the local deep house sound with his cavernous dub style. His production style also incorporates downtempo, melodic house, and stripped-down deep tech. Most recently, Dwson released his sixth studio album, "Nothing To Lose," in February 2026. This 16-track album marks a more expansive and collaborative chapter in his career, leaning into vocal-driven storytelling and featuring a range of vocalists and textures, while still rooted in his fluid deep house foundation. The album explores themes of fear, self-doubt, and moving forward, and includes tracks like "Riptide," "Selfish," and "Sense," which prioritize atmosphere and emotional build. Prior to "Nothing To Lose," Dwson also released albums such as "Was It Really Worth It" and "Jewels" in 2024. To celebrate the album, he hosted launch events in Cape Town and Johannesburg in February 2026, and an official music video for the title track "Nothing To Lose" featuring Unwnd has also been released. In 2026, he also released singles such as "We Are Home (Club Mix)" and "Send Love."
