Misleadingly plural, Dom & Roland is actually Dominic Angas and his s760 Roland sampler. Known as one of the pioneers of the techstep genre of drum and bass that came out of no-u-turn studios. After co-producing and mixing some of the early classics from Ed-rush and Dj Trace such as the Skylab EP, Sonar and Mutant Jazz Revisted. He signed exclusively to Moving Shadow in 1996 and fulfilled a three album deal with them as well as countless singles and collaborations with artists such as Optical Matrix and Goldie. In 2005 Dom started his own label ‘Dom and Roland Productions’. The label has been a home for another 3 solo albums and most of Dom's solo work, collaborations with everyone from Amon Tobin to Noisia and has recently spawned “Dubs from the Dungeons” A series of previously unreleased “dubplates" from the 90’s from various artists, which have been highly sought after. Doms' last album was signed to Metalheadz. Goldie was quoted as saying “Dom’s new album…pfff well… it pretty much blows everything else away”. Mixmag gave it 10/10 and called it DnB album of the year. Laurent Garner said "A very rare thing to come by, but every track on it is awesome!" It was shortlisted for three “best album of 2016” awards , DJ magazine, Drum and Bass Arena and Juno, It won best dnb album of 2016 for Juno. Dom has worked with a lot of new artists over the last couple of years and will be starting 2020 with a new solo album and a barrage of collaborations with other well known artists!
