Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut is a Turkish pop rock duo formed in 2014 by vocalist Mehmet Uğurhan Özay and guitarist Mürsel Oğulcan Ava. Known for their unique blend of alternative rock, pop-rock, and elements of funk rock, they draw inspiration from bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Twenty One Pilots, while also incorporating Turkish rock traditions, melancholy, and irony into their sound. Their compositions often explore themes of daily life, relationships, and internal reflections, delivered with emotional intensity and a touch of humor. The duo has released five albums, three EPs, and numerous singles, all self-produced and available on digital platforms. Their most recent album, "Ölüm Dansı" (Dance of Death), was released in August 2023. They have continued to release singles, including "Dilerim Ki" and "Yan Yana" in 2024. Beyond their music, Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut has embarked on a documentary series called "Dedim Olabilir," which aims to highlight the independent music scene in Turkey. The group was recognized as one of Turkey's most-streamed groups and artists on Spotify in 2021. They have a series of upcoming concerts scheduled across Turkey in April, May, and June 2026, including performances in Istanbul, Sakarya, Antalya, and Ankara. In a notable event in May 2024, their concert in Gaziantep was canceled twice due to external pressures.
