Distress Call are the latest up-and-coming GrungeGaze band from the south coast of the UK. Fusing inspiration from math rock, grunge, shoegaze, and prog metal, they create a sonic cocktail of doomy-and-gloomy vibes emboldened by waves of high intensity guitar riffs and powerful vocals. Taking their inspiration from music and cinema alike, Distress Call sounds like the music equivalent of a found footage horror film of the 90s, aiming to bring their sound barraging to the top of the scene with a nostalgic, unsettling intensity.
