Diogo Piçarra is a prominent Portuguese singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, who rose to fame after winning the fifth season of Ídolos in 2012. While he plays in the Portuguese hip hop genre, his musical style also encompasses pop, electropop, and rock, with recent explorations into electronic music, including elements of tropical house, drum 'n' bass, and house. In 2024, he released his fourth studio album, "SNTMNTL" (Sentimental), marking a new direction in his career with an electronic sound. This was followed by the "Sentimental Tour," with performances in major venues like the Super Bock Arena in Porto and Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon in April 2024. He also released the EP "Chuva" in 2024. Looking ahead, 2025 marks a decade in his musical career, which he celebrated with the release of his third book "Um Espelho, Uma Década" and the album "D≡Z" in October 2025, featuring collaborations with ten emerging artists who reinterpret his significant songs. Piçarra is also anticipated to perform at the Portimão Sardine Festival in August 2025 and Festival F in September 2025, and will continue his role as a mentor on The Voice Kids.
