Deema is a South-East London rapper known for his versatile delivery, blending grime roots with a conscious, narrative approach and lo-fi beats. Hailing from Peckham and Lewisham, he gained early recognition as the youngest member and hype-man for the influential grime collective, The Square. His musical journey began with influences from artists like Skepta, Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal, and Jamie T. Deema's acclaimed debut EP, "Chew Your Food," was released in 2020, followed by his "Rainbow" EP in 2021. He has been described by Dazed as "perhaps the happiest rapper you'll ever hear" due to his infectious energy and evolving artistry. In his latest endeavors, Deema released his highly anticipated 10-track EP, "DOG WITH A £", on November 28th, 2024, which pays homage to his South London roots and features collaborations with artists like Elf Kid, BlazeYL, Bawo, and David Armada. Ahead of the EP, he released singles such as "LILREDWHIP" and "C4LL MY PHONE". He also unveiled a striking video for his single "UK SYNTH" featuring Bawo. Deema continues to maintain a regular radio show on Balamii radio and has supported US rap duo The Underachievers. He celebrated the release of "DOG WITH A £" with a free launch party for fans in South London and has recently discussed his creative ambitions and journey in interviews.
