About Daniela Lalita

Daniela Lalita is a Peruvian musician, model, and artist known for her multidisciplinary practice that spans music, costume design, film, performance, and fine art. Born Daniela Czenstochowski in Lima, Peru, she studied apparel design at the Rhode Island School of Design and music technology at New York University, where she was mentored by electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick. Her musical style is a captivating fusion of genres including folktronica, art pop, experimental electronic, avant-pop, electroacoustic, industrial, and experimental folk. Lalita's work frequently incorporates symbolic and psychological themes, and she uses her voice as a powerful and versatile instrument, often blending energetic club beats and pop elements while avoiding traditional song structures. In 2022, Daniela Lalita released her debut EP, *Trececerotres*, which entered the UK Physical Singles Top 100. She directed several of the accompanying music videos and designed the costumes for the EP. The song "Tenía Razón" from the EP was featured on the soundtrack of FIFA 23. Since 2023, her endeavors include collaborations with Mura Masa on the deep house singles "Drugs" (June 2023) and "Love" (September 2023), with "Drugs" also appearing on Mura Masa's album *Curve 1* in August 2024. She appeared in a campaign film for Yves Saint Laurent in February 2023 and was featured on the cover of 10 Magazine's Fall/Winter issue in September 2023. Lalita also performed at London Fashion Week in September 2023 and is slated to appear as an entertainer for the label Ottolinger at Berlin Fashion Week in July 2025. She is currently preparing her first full-length album, which she envisions as "a celebration filled with confidence and light," and plans to travel to England, Spain, and the Peruvian jungle for collaborations to infuse new force into her work.
