Culture Wars is an Austin, Texas-based alt-rock band composed of Alex Dugan (lead singer), Caleb Contreras, Dillon Randolph, David Grayson, and Josh Stirm. The band blends vital rock and alternative music elements with an earnest emphasis on guitars, incorporating influences from 90s and early 2000s guitar-driven music, synth-pop, and electro-rock. They aim to create ambitious rock music built to resonate with a diverse audience, focusing on expertly crafted songs with lyrical depth and glossy, pop-like hooks driven by Alex Dugan's soaring vocals. The band has garnered attention with tracks like "Faith," "Lose Money," and "Heaven," and their song "Leave Me Alone" was featured on the GRAMMY-nominated *Bill & Ted Face the Music* soundtrack, becoming their first Top 30 Alternative Rock hit. In recent endeavors, Culture Wars released the singles "Slowly" in August 2024 and "It Hurts" in October 2024, both from their upcoming debut album. The band has been actively touring, supporting artists such as BANNERS, LANY, Amy Shark, Keane, and Maroon 5 in North America, Australia, and Asia.
