About the artist

“Creeping Jean give ragged rock 'n' roll a fresh twist” – Clash “Talent, attitude, poise, and swagger. Check out the dynamism of their song writing; their spacious but glam-inclined minglings of menace and melody.” – Kerrang!! Creeping Jean: The hotly tipped young raucous Brighton band released their second album "Business Is Dead" in 2024 to rave reviews. Based out of frontman Olly Tooze’s vintage clothing shop in Brighton ‘Mammoth’, Creeping Jean’s latest album “Business Is Dead” is an ode to the struggle to make ends meet for the shop, while also still having the means and time to be a musician, living life like a gang of charming wastrel throwbacks, breathing life into 60’s flavour rock’n’roll with a seaside spirit and psychedelic goodtime groove. Championed by BBC 6 Music’s Amy Lamé, and recently chosen as main support for American rock’n’roll band Rival Sons across their sell-out European tour, Creeping Jean are going places. The band’s critically acclaimed debut album “When’s The Blowout?” 2022, was financed from the sale of five thousand pairs of Converse via their Brighton based Vintage shop and at car boot sales. Again, for “Business is Dead” Olly found himself hustling to Arundel flea market at 4.30am to raise the funds. In an era when music and the highstreet are more and more underthreat, Creeping Jean keep fighting like a group of flamboyant tasseled tigers for the rock'n'roll crown.
