Coward Syndrome is a dream pop and synthwave duo from Paris, France, composed of Victor Anastasio and Lapierre. Their sound is characterized by mesmerizing guitars, ethereal, time-stretched drums, and evocative atmospheres, drawing comparisons to gothy shoegaze, new wave, and experimental indie rock with influences from darkwave, post-punk, and cold wave. The duo's compositions are noted for their blend of grounded and atmospheric qualities, often leaning into nostalgia. They released their self-titled debut LP in 2023 through Spirit Goth Records, which followed their 2021 debut EP, "POCHETTE II". Recent and upcoming endeavors include the singles "Venetian Day" (featuring Sofia Anastasio and Alexandra Anastasio) in 2026 and "Xanax & Horses" in 2025/2026, with an album titled "Xanax & Horses" also slated for 2026.
