Constant Smiles, led by prolific songwriter Ben Jones, is an evolving music collective that has consistently shifted its sound since its inception in 2009 on Martha's Vineyard. The project's music spans genres including shadowy pop songcraft, indie rock, ambient pop, synth pop, pastoral folk rock, shoegaze, and dream pop, often exploring themes of intimacy, addiction, and humanity. The lineup has been fluid, with contributions from over 50 members throughout its discography, and has more recently solidified into a core trio with Jones, longtime bassist Spike Currier, and drummer/vocalist Nora Knight. Constant Smiles' latest endeavor is the announcement of their new album, *Moonflowers*, set to be released on November 7, 2025, via Felte. This album follows previous releases on Sacred Bones, such as 2023's *Kenneth Anger* and 2021's *Paragons*. *Moonflowers* features a range of collaborators including Cassandra Jenkins, Katie Von Schleicher, Fred Thomas, Shahzad Ismaily, P.G. Six, and Steven R. Smith. Recent singles from the album include "Time Measured in Moonflowers" featuring Cassandra Jenkins, "Allowed To Be," and "Harriman." The band's sound has recently moved towards a more acoustic, folky, and atmospheric palette, influenced by Knight's contributions.
