Confucius MC is a South London rapper, real name William Carabine-Glean, known for his UK hip-hop sound that has evolved to incorporate folk and jazz elements, creating a hip-hop fusion. He has been embedded in the UK hip-hop scene since the early 2000s, previously releasing albums like "The Highest Order" (2014) and "The Artform" (2017), and has supported artists such as Mos Def. Beyond his music, he dedicated over a decade to teaching lyricism to primary school children through a "Rap Club." His latest significant endeavor is the collaborative album "Songs For Lost Travellers" with producer and multi-instrumentalist Bastien Keb, released on February 7th, 2025, via Native Rebel Recordings. This introspective album merges rap, folk, and jazz into a spiritual exploration of life, loss, and grief, largely recorded in a raw, home-studio setting. Additionally, he released an album called "Stop Signs," produced by Pitch 92, in February 2025.
