Coast Arcade is a four-piece indie rock band from Auckland, New Zealand, formed in 2021 by high school friends Bella Bavin (vocals, lead guitar), Thom Boynton (drums), Leo Spykerman (bass), and Arlo Birrs (guitar). They are known for their high-energy live performances and a sound that blends 90s guitar grit with fresh indie hooks, delivering catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and honest lyrics. In their latest endeavors, Coast Arcade released their self-titled debut album "Coast Arcade" in October 2025, featuring singles such as "City Limits," "Acetone," "Kids," and "Cycles." This album reached #21 on the Official Top 40 Album chart in New Zealand. Following the album release, they shared a new music video for the track "Hallway" in January 2026, which captures the raw energy of their live shows. The band has gained international recognition, with their music being featured on major editorial playlists across Spotify and Apple Music and receiving significant radio play in the USA, Australia, and Europe, including BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1. They have also toured extensively, including sold-out shows in New Zealand and appearances at festivals such as Rhythm and Vines. Upcoming performances include shows in Auckland in February and March 2026.
