Clara Peya is a Catalan pianist, composer, and performer known for her unclassifiable musical style that blends chamber music, jazz, pop, and electronic music, always with the piano as its central element. She is recognized for her intense, visceral, and transcendent artistic personality, often incorporating feminist themes and using her music as a tool for social transformation and to advocate for freedom and visibility. A prolific artist, she has released numerous albums and is also co-founder of the theatre, dance, and live music company "Les Impuxibles" with her sister Ariadna Peya, for which she composes music. Her latest album, "Corsé," released in 2024 or 2023 depending on the source, features collaborations with notable artists such as Albert Pla, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Salvador Sobral, and Marina Herlop. The tour for "Corsé" is set to culminate in a special performance at the Barcelona Grec Festival, a unique show co-directed with Ariadna Peya, incorporating dancers and a choir to explore themes of perfection. Peya has received significant recognition for her work, including the National Culture Award in Catalonia in 2019 for her artistic career and social commitment, and the Enderrock magazine Critic's Award for Best Author's Song Album for "Corsé" in 2023.
