Cigarettes @ Sunset is a five-piece alt-country band from Boone, North Carolina, known for their self-proclaimed "Possum Rock" sound, a raw and soulful blend of Americana, indie, Appalachian folk, and rock. Their music fuses Appalachian angst with elements of pop, outlaw country, and punk, featuring driving guitar riffs, dynamic drumming, swelling violin, and the semi-autobiographical lyrics of frontman Garrett Dellinger. The band, comprising Dellinger (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), Wells Whitman (bass, backing vocals), Ethan Moore (drums), Sarah Vann (violin, vocals), and Ryland Bagbey (lead guitar), released their debut album, "Mr. Pucky and the Star Destroyers," in early 2023. They have since followed up with EPs like "Doom Complex" (2024) and "A Good Year for Hunting" (2025). Their latest major endeavor is the 2026 album "Possum Rock," which further defines their unique genre-blending style, and they are actively touring with numerous dates scheduled throughout 2026.
