Chris Travis is an American rapper and record producer from Memphis, Tennessee, recognized as a pioneer in the cloud rap genre, while also incorporating elements of Southern hip hop, trap, and plugg into his sound. He began his music career in 2011, initially gaining attention as a member of the underground hip-hop collective Raider Klan before transitioning to a solo career in 2013. That same year, Travis established his independent label, Water Boyz Entertainment, through which he has prolifically released mixtapes and singles. He was also a member of the collective Seshollowaterboyz alongside Bones, Xavier Wulf, and Eddy Baker, known for their lo-fi, cloud rap aesthetic. In terms of recent endeavors, Chris Travis is currently on his "The Prefix Tour," which began in June 2026 and includes dates across the United States. This tour supports his latest releases, including the album "The Prefix" (2026) and singles like "Players Only" (2026).
