Chicago is an American rock band renowned for their distinct blend of rock, soft rock, pop rock, and jazz rock, often described as a "rock and roll band with horns" due to their prominent brass section. They also incorporate elements of classical music, jazz, R&B, and pop into their sound. Formed in 1967, the band has achieved significant commercial success, selling over 100 million records worldwide, and are among the longest-running and best-selling groups of all time. Their accolades include one Grammy Award for "If You Leave Me Now" and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. In their latest endeavors, Chicago is currently on "The Windy City Tour" across the United States and Canada, with performances scheduled from May to October 2026. They are also co-headlining "The Windy Cities Tour" with Styx throughout July, August, and September 2026. Additionally, the band is set to join "A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration" on July 3rd, live from the U.S. Capitol Building. In 2026, the band also mourned the passing of founding member Walter Parazaider, who played reed instruments and saxophone from their inception until his retirement in 2018. The group also released their 38th album, "Born For This Moment".
