About Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey is an Irish pop trio from Tullamore, County Offaly, consisting of childhood friends Ronan Bell (Ro), Jonathan Byrne (Bee), and Ted Conway (Teddy C). Formed in 2016, the group is known for their "Trad House" genre, which blends electronic production with traditional Irish music, alongside pop, dance, and hip-hop influences, and is now evolving into a "country-dance" sound. They gained early recognition with their 2017 debut single "That Good Thing," which won RTÉ's Choice Music Prize for Song of the Year, and have since signed global record deals with 3 Beat UK/Universal Music Group, and later with Warner and dance label Spinnin' Records. Their 2019 debut EP, *The Odyssey Project*, reached number one on the Irish Music Charts, and their 2023 hit "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)" achieved platinum status and entered the Top 10 Irish Charts. In their latest endeavors, Chasing Abbey released several singles in 2025, including "Íorónta," "Arís is Arís," "Gorta," "Scartha," and "Take Me To The Water" featuring Harlee. They also performed an impromptu session with American country singer-songwriter Zach Bryan in June 2025. The trio is gearing up for a significant global tour in 2026, with dates across the UK, North America, and Australia, beginning on February 13, 2026, in Swansea, marking their debut headlining shows in these regions. Their live performances are characterized by high energy, charisma, tight harmonies, and dance-floor-ready anthems.
