Charan-Po-Rantan is a Japanese alternative chanson and J-pop sister unit consisting of vocalist Momo and her older sister, accordionist Koharu. Known for their eclectic sound that blends retro kayokyoku, French chanson, gypsy music, klezmer, and circus-like theatricality, the duo pairs whimsical, witty lyrics with eye-catching, vibrant aesthetics. Operating independently through their own company after leaving major labels, they continue to actively release music, tour across Japan, and captivate audiences with their unique blend of vintage flair and modern alternative pop.
