About the artist

🥦🥦 Chakaman (aka Tim Parry), a seasoned musician and composer, has been deeply involved in music performance since a young age, completing a music degree as a young adult. He spent several years as a gigging session musician in Melbourne's vibrant music scene, gaining extensive experience across genres such as jazz, funk, rock, soul, folk, and hip hop. With over 1000 shows under his belt, he has also tutored music for more than a decade and composed for various films, advertisements, theater shows and bands, boasting hundreds of completed studio recordings as a producer. Additionally, he has experience as a music artist manager and worked as a stage manager at some of Australia’s largest music festivals. In 2019, Chakaman discovered lofi hip hop and quickly developed a passion for the genre. He has since been releasing chilled, soulful, and groovy beat music. Forever honing his craft, Chakaman draws upon his extensive musical vocabulary and wide musical taste to bring richness and nuance to his productions.
