Carter Brady is a New York City-based musician and songwriter whose self-reflective 90's-centric alt rock sound mixed with modern American indie pop is underpinned by big guitars, drums, and versatile vocals. Raised in Pelham, NY, he writes all of the music & records most of the instruments. Since breaking into the NYC scene in 2022, Brady and his talented live band have packed fans into iconic venues like Mercury Lounge, Bowery Electric, The Bitter End & Arlene’s Grocery. His critically acclaimed self-released album ‘Shopping Cart’ showcases Brady's songwriting diversity, catchy hooks and impressive guitar chops. The opening single “We’re Talking” powers a big guitar and drum sound that provides a taster of the melodic 12 tracks that follow. While offering high praise for original songwriting, reviewers have noted that the tunes would fit right into a mix tape of alt-rock stalwarts like Weezer (“Instead”), The Strokes ( “Grocery Store”), Oasis (“So Late,” “The Record’s Right,” “See You In My Free Head”), Radiohead’s The Bends (“Lost In This World,” “How Come It Happens?”), Tame Impala (“Late Night Temptations”), The Smashing Pumpkins (“Suppressed”), and Foo Fighters (“Fit In” & “Go Home”).
