About Cardiel

Cardiel is a dynamic two-piece rock band that originated in Mexico City in 2010, composed of Samantha Ambrosio on drums and vocals, and Miguel Fraino on guitar and vocals. Their sound is a powerful blend of Mexican rock, stoner rock, psychedelic, heavy dub, sludge, and fuzz punk, often categorized as skaterock, reflecting their initial goal of creating music for skateboarding videos. In recent years, Cardiel has been actively releasing new music and performing internationally. In 2024, they released "Live from Tasty Wax Records Oceanside, CA (7" Vinyl)" and "Live from 'Vesubio Grabaciones'". The band also put out singles such as "tu inicial" and "casi algo" in 2025, along with "Cardiel live from Tasty Wax - Single". They recorded "Live on KEXP" at the KEXP studios in Seattle in August 2025 and performed at The Punk Rock Museum on July 27, 2025. Looking ahead, Cardiel is slated to be part of several international festivals in 2026, including Desertfest in Berlin, Sonic Whip in the Netherlands, Obsidian Dust in Brussels, and Hoflaerm Open Air in Germany. They are also confirmed to play at the Vans Warped Tour in Mexico City in September 2026 and have upcoming tour dates scheduled across the US and Europe throughout 2025 and 2026. The band has also indicated they are working on a new record.
