Calva Louise is an internationally-based rock band formed in London in 2016, comprised of Venezuelan vocalist and guitarist Jess Allanic, French bassist Alizon Taho, and New Zealander drummer Ben Parker. The trio is known for their fiercely eclectic and genre-mashing sound, blending punk, nu-metal, post-hardcore, electronica, and alternative rock with influences from Latin American folk music, European rock, and hip-hop. Their latest endeavor is the release of their fourth full-length album, "Edge Of The Abyss," which dropped on July 11, 2025, via Mascot Records. This album explores themes of futurism and dystopianism through sci-fi and graphic novel-influenced storytelling, incorporating Spanish-influenced guitars, pianos, and tracks. Vocalist Jess Allanic directs all accompanying music videos, which are inspired by a fictional world she conceived in her youth. Calva Louise also has a busy touring schedule, having announced an "18 nights in the USA TOUR" for September 2025, co-headlining with Mike's Dead and supported by Sickassense. Additionally, they are set to join Stray From The Path for their final European and UK tour in October and November 2025. The band is also recognized for their strong DIY ethos, handling their own recording, custom equipment construction, and visual content creation.
