BURN is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1989, renowned for pushing the boundaries of the genre with their innovative sound. Led by vocalist Chaka Malik and guitarist Gavin Van Vlack, the band has released several EPs throughout its history. In 2017, after reactivating in 2015, BURN released their first full-length album, "Do or Die," through Deathwish Inc.. The album was recorded with new members Tyler Krupsky on bass and Abbas Muhammad on drums, produced by Kurt Ballou, and mastered by Howie Weinberg. This release marked a significant return for the band, blending infectious melody, hook-laden groove, and raw hardcore emotion. Following the album's release, BURN supported it with a U.S. tour in October 2017 alongside bands like Comeback Kid and Jesus Piece, and also played festivals in the U.S. and Europe, including Revelation Records' Rev Fest and Brooklyn's Afropunk.
