BRUSES live history
BRUSES, the Mexican singer and songwriter Amalia Ramirez, is an indie pop artist known for her introspective, deep, poetic, and raw lyrics that often explore mental health issues. Her music blends lo-fi, electronica, and rock styles, creating a sound often described as "new alternative pop." BRUSES gained a significant following around 2019 by sharing her music on platforms like TikTok. Her debut full-length album, *Monstruos* (2022), earned her a Latin Grammy nomination and featured the hit single "Dueles Tan Bien". She is a four-time Latin Grammy nominee. In April 2024, BRUSES signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor), marking a significant step in her career. Her sophomore album, *Desde El Coma*, released in August 2025, is a deeply personal work inspired by a life-threatening car accident she experienced at age 20, which left her in a coma; the album serves as a reflection of rebirth and self-reclamation. Her latest single, "RATERA," was released in May 2026. BRUSES is also recognized for her advocacy for LGBTQIA+ representation in music and was one of Spotify's inaugural GLOW artists. She has collaborated with notable artists such as Mon Laferte, Paty Cantú, and Kenia Os, and has performed live on KEXP.
